WELCOME to the valve radio section of OzRadio. I have been collecting radios since 1986. I found my first old radio in my Grandfathers shed. My current collection consists mainly of post war (WW2) portables and mantles up to around 1955.

Some of my favourite sets;

AWA 573M (1955) Grey plastic mantle set
FLEETWOOD 1116 (1955) One of the later bakelite sets
PHILIPS 133 (1951) The Jubilee radio
RINCAN Japanese valve radio
HEALING 503B (1948) My favourite portable
HMV P17BX (1948) A compact 'personal portable'
GULBRANSEN CONSOLE (1941) An unusual radio as the chassis is made by Airzone
AWA RADIOLA (1948) Model 519M. A popular bakelite mantle
KRIESLER 11-25  (1950) Bakelite radiogram
TIN PORTABLES Philips, Mullard, Fleetwood from 1948 to 1957
1938 WESTINGHOUSE 278  Triple wave - Radio Gram MONSTER!
