Option M allows a morse key to be fitted.

This is as per the circuit in the manual.

You will need

1K resistor.

33nF capacitor

Wire

3.5mm panel mount socket. I used the speaker socket on my radio, but you can carefully drill another hole in the
back panel for another if you wish.

Instructions

Open up the larger of the two lids.

Locate P2 on the micro board. P2 is the 4 pin connector on the microboard (the one with the EPROM)
immediately behind the crystal (with the connectors on the back panel facing away from you). If you don't
have a connector to fit, simply solder a wire to the pins.

Connect wires from pins 1 & 3.

Pin 1 is earth. Pin 3 is the morse input.

Run the two wires to the rear of the set. Connect the earth wire to the common pin of the socket.

Connect the morse wire via the 1k resistor to the other pin of the socket.

Place the 33nF cap from eath to the radio side of the 1k resistor.

Connect your favourite morse key to the 3.5mm socket and enjoy!
